Specimen registration

This page receives specimen registration requests for the Turkish Copepoda Research Collection (TCRC) and the Cukurova University Museum of Aquatic Parasitology/Copepoda Collection (CUMAPCOP).

When you submit the form below, your request is recorded and you receive a tracking code. The request is then reviewed by the collection curator; a registration number is issued only after approval and is sent to you by e-mail. This step keeps the catalogue consistent.

You may register several specimens in a single form. Selecting "Parasitic" as the material type opens the host information fields. Taxon names are checked against WoRMS; selecting an order loads its family list automatically.

Please provide the collection date, locality and collector as completely as possible — the number is issued on the basis of these data (the year in the number is the year of collection).

How it works

1. Sign in

Requests are submitted by registered users. Accounts are activated by the collection curator.

2. Describe the material

One form can hold several specimens. Taxon names are checked against WoRMS as you type.

3. Receive a tracking code

Your request is queued for review and you get a code such as REQ-2026-3F9A21.

4. Numbers are issued

After the curator approves, registration numbers are generated and sent to you by e-mail.
